Ingredients:

  • 1 medium carrot, peeled & chopped
  • ½ cup ripe mango or papaya (based on seasonal availability)
  • 1 tbsp soaked almonds (overnight) or cashews
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional, adds warmth and flavour)
  • ½ cup coconut water or filtered water

  2. Keep aside in the fridge while preparing the other layers.

White Layer (Middle)

A creamy, gut-friendly base that balances the smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • ½ banana or 2 tbsp tender coconut malai
  • 1 tbsp soaked melon seeds or sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup homemade curd (or thick coconut milk for a vegan option)
  • A few drops of pure vanilla extract (optional)

Method:

  1. Blend till creamy and lump-free.
  2. Use this as your base layer.

🟩 Green Layer (Base)

A detoxifying mix packed with iron, fibre, and freshness.

Ingredients:

  • A handful of spinach or mint leaves, washed thoroughly
  • ½ kiwi or 1 small slice of fresh amla (Indian gooseberry)
  • 1 tbsp cucumber, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tsp chia seeds, soaked in water for 10–15 minutes
  • ½ cup water or chilled green tea (optional)

Method:

  1. Blend everything until smooth.
  2. Chill slightly. Add more water if needed for consistency.

🧊 Assembly:

Layer 1 – Green (Bottom):

Gently pour the green layer over the back of a spoon to avoid mixing. Freeze again for a few minutes.

Layer 2 – Green (Middle):

Pour the white smoothie layer into a tall glass. Freeze for 5–10 minutes to slightly set.

Layer 3 – Saffron (Top):

Add the saffron layer on top, slowly.

Optional Garnish:

  • Crushed pistachios, fresh mint, or edible flowers.

🌿 Sensible Tips:

  • Always use seasonal produce for the best flavour and nutrients.
  • Adjust consistency by blending with less water for thicker layers.
  • Consume fresh—avoid storing for long to retain enzymes and texture.
